Evan is 18 Months!

Evan is 18 months!  He is literally into everything.  He likes to pull almost anything out of the drawers in the kitchen and our bathroom.  Evan is an inconsistent eater.  Sometimes he can't get enough food and other times we can't get him to eat anything.  He likes to use a fork for everything unless it takes too long.  Then he just digs in with his hands!  He is learning how to use a spoon.  He is so funny because he opens his mouth extremely wide and eats very slowly.

Evan is outgrowing clothes very quickly.  I had to get out Jack's 2T long sleeve shirts the other day for Evan.  He follows Jack everywhere he goes.  He even followed Jack to the corner for time out the other day!  He is beginning to love books now.

Evan signs more, all done, eat, and please.  He signs more for almost anything he wants!

Evan can say Jack, milk, nana (for banana), Duke, mama, daddy, and night night.  He waves bye-bye and blows kisses.  He is a great sleeper and lays right down when we put him in bed.  He is still taking 2 naps for the most part.

Evan LOVES Mickey!  He gets very excited when Mickey comes on television.  Evan is beginning to run instead of walk.  He is so adorable!

Jack's First Week of Preschool

Jack started at Crabapple Creek this Tuesday! He will be attending Tuesday and Thursday full days. John and I both took him to school on the first day while Sharon had kept Evan Monday night. We took pictures in front of the house and headed to school.
As we walked to his classroom, there were children in the adjacent room eating breakfast. Jack waved to them and said, "Hi Guys!"
We knew he wouldn't have trouble making friends. We talked to his teacher, Miss Courtney, and gave her his supplies. We hung up his backpack and put away the nap mat.
Miss Jenny helped him pour his cereal, milk, and juice after he washed his hands in the tiniest, cutest sinks you have ever seen!
It was time to say goodbye and no one cried!
I thought about Jack all day and wondered what he was doing! There are some things I assumed he would do as this is a Montessori preschool and I am a Montessori teacher too!
When I went to pick him up, I paused in the classroom and watched him playing in the sand outside. He was by himself with some trucks. He did not want to leave, but Baby Evan and I were ready to go!
After a fit, I got him I the car. When we got home, we dumped the sand out of his shoes. His socks were already on inside out, so this was probably done by a teacher earlier oo!
He said "criss cross applesauce" a number of times. Jack said he had Crabapple Creek for lunch, and sang the ABC song pretty well that night.
We can't believe he is already in preschool!
