A Forgotten 21 Month Photo

21 months and handsome as ever!

Not only is he sleeping with his tush in the air, look at his crossed feet!

Having fun on the weekend!

Check out those beautiful eyes!
When Jack was 21 months old, life was moving at 100 miles an hour around here!  John was the busiest he had ever been at work, and I was super tired with this pregnancy.  However, 21 months was a great age for Jack.  Jack is talking so much!  He repeats nearly everything we say, even the word "tomorrow."  He can identify many animals including dinosaurs, lions, and monkeys.  He says please and thank you and still uses baby sign language for some things.  Jack had a runny nose for 4 weeks this spring!  He is finally on an antibiotic and doing much better.  We finally said enough is enough!

We took his passy away right around him turning 21 months.  It really wasn't too difficult, but it has changed his sleeping patterns.  Jack would easily go down for a nap or to bed with his passy, but would wake up for it usually once a night.  Since we took the passy away, Jack rarely naps and talks to himself for up to hours before falling asleep at night.  We don't regret taking the passy away, but we wish his former sleep patterns would return.

Jack weighed 30 pounds at the doctor on Friday.  He just switched to size 5 diapers last week, and he is wearing 24 month clothes now.  His next appointment is for his two year well baby appointment in July.  By then he will have a little brother!  Let's hope life slows down a little so we can enjoy Jack (solely) as much as we can!

Chik-Fil-A Night

Jack and Mommy went to Chik-Fil-A on our way home today.  I've been craving their food, and Jack loves chicken!  As I was ordering, I found out it was free kids meal night.  Score!  However, it was difficult getting all the condiments (straw, honey, napkins, etc.) and a high chair for Jack by myself.

He loved looking around at all the other families.  Funniest of all, he kept saying, "Moo cow, moo cow."  I thought he was just seeing a poster or a cut out of a cow and didn't think much of it.  Then, a huge cow mascot was standing at our table.  I didn't even realize it until Jack was overcome with a terrible look of fear!  The cow must get this often because he backed away!  Jack was shaking, he was so frightened.

After the cow was an acceptible distance away for Jack, he went back to happily saying, "Moo cow, moo cow."  I could tell when the moo cow was getting too close because Jack would start shaking again!  I had so much fun listening to Jack talk at dinner tonight.  Before we know it, we will be having a real conversation!

Our Worst Boo Boo Yet?

Jack was playing hard (as usual) at Sharon's and fell on the deck today.  I am thinking this is his worst boo boo yet.  However, you wouldn't know anything is wrong with him!  He is active and happy as usual!
