What a crazy busy Saturday! Getting ready for a baby is so much work!
It all started with John getting the windows tinted on his Corvette. We then ran to the mall for just a minute, went to the grocery store, and had lunch with Steve & Norma at El Rodeo.
Then, we went to Meijer for a minute, picked up lunch for John (landscaper), got the Corvette back, had our mailbox landscaped with peonies and pansies, had new carpet installed in the back bedroom, made spaghetti for dinner, and opened Easter gifts from Steve & Norma. Jack refused to take a nap, but John and I kept working anyway! Jack stayed in his room talking to himself for quite a while.
I made tons of sugar cookies with cookie cutters (bunny, butterfly, tulip, and flower) and piped on yellow and pink icing with ziplock bags. John put together Jack's new nightstand from Ikea. It was almost midnight when we finally went to bed, but we were amazed at all the things we had accomplished.
We hope to have the rest of the furniture put together this week. We are still trying to decide which room to put which son in. It would be great to put Jack in the back bedroom because it is bigger and will look better with dark furniture. It would also be great to keep Jack's room as the nursery because everything is already in there that our new baby will need.
The only drawback is Jack knows which room is his, and we don't want to confuse him. One thing is for sure though: Jack will stay in his crib as long as he can! I can only imagine him refusing to sleep even more than he does now!
